Our Stay at Radisson Palm Jumeirah
Exceptional hotel with beach access. The room is spacious which is good for a family of 4. We stayed in a partial sea view room which good to take pictures of dubai marina skyscrapers during at night.
Disappointing Experience and Unfulfilled Promises
I rarely leave negative reviews, but unfortunately my experience with Radisson Beach Resort Palm Jumeirah was disappointing from the very beginning. Before making my reservation, I contacted the hotel directly to confirm that the beach was truly private and exclusive to hotel guests. I was assured that it was. However, upon arrival, I found that the level of privacy was not as described. The beach area felt far less exclusive than expected, and the sunbeds were placed extremely close together, leaving very little personal space for guests seeking a relaxing resort experience. The issues started at check-in, where the room configuration I had requested was initially unavailable. I had to wait while the staff searched for an alternative solution. Although a room was eventually provided, the first impression was already far from ideal. Before settling in, I took some time to explore the hotel's facilities. Unfortunately, the beach experience did not match my expectations of a premium beachfront resort. The rooftop pool was also not the peaceful atmosphere I was looking for, feeling more like a pool club party venue than a relaxing resort environment suitable for families and guests seeking tranquility. The most disappointing part of my experience was how my complaint was handled. After immediately raising my concerns with the hotel management, I was informed that if I chose to leave on the same day without staying overnight, only the first night would be charged and the remaining balance would be refunded after internal approval. Based on that assurance, I left the hotel, checked into another property, and never used the room beyond the initial check-in process. Over the following days, I followed up multiple times regarding the promised refund. On more than one occasion, I was told that someone from management would contact me, but no one ever did. Eventually, I was informed that the reservation was non-refundable and that no refund would be processed, despite the assurances given when I left the property. My disappointment is not only about the money. It is about the lack of consistency in communication, the promises that were made and never honored, and the poor follow-up after a legitimate customer complaint. I expected a much higher level of professionalism and customer care from an international brand such as Radisson. What I hope for is not only financial compensation, but also a review of how guest complaints are handled and how commitments made by staff are honored, because trust is the most important thing a guest relies on before making a booking decision.
Management is awful
Awful experience topped off by shocking management. I stayed this week with my girlfriend. The rooms should be clearly advertised that the noise from clubs facing the hotel gets through to the rooms meaning you cannot sleep until after 3am. Check in was chaos, so much they asked us to take a seat and wait however when it appeared no one was going to grab us to say your next we re-entrered the queue ourselves. if busy check ins are anticipated, maybe they should be staggered. The air con also wasn't working and we had to get this fixed. Breakfast the next morning was a nightmare, again chaos with multiple people asking for cutlery which was taking forever to be replaced. The amount of food was struggling to keep up with the amount of people, every section basically had left overs. The most disapointing part was our interactions with the "Manager" Imrani. Honestly, the worst management I have ever experienced in a hotel. His whole attitude stunk and is something the Radisson seriously should be ashamed of. He even asked one of the colleagues at breakfast to not speak to us, and it was evident he wanted us out the hotel after we complained as soon as possible. He refused to give us his area managers email and acted stupid when we asked for the complaints procedure. He clearly lacks training in dealing with customer complaints, hotel organisation, and just general customer service skills. I think even his staff seemed a bit scared of him. Out of all the hotels I've stayed in round the world, never have I crossed paths with such a rude, stuck up manager with little manners. Not what you expect from a luxurious, Palm Jumeriah hotel. So bad I've advised my parents to cancel an upcoming viewing next week.
