Excellent choice for Prague

Modern hotel with a pleasant and well-designed atmosphere. Excellent breakfast: wide variety of options, changed every day, very good quality. Spacious and nice breakfast area. Triple room (one queen bed and one single bed): spacious, clean, and comfortable beds. Very useful fridge in the room. We had a small issue with the toilet, but it was fixed quickly and without any problems. Good location: not right in the city center, but within a short walk. Ideal if you want to avoid the crowds and noise. Two supermarkets on the same street, very convenient for snacks or drinks. Eco-friendly hotel, which is appreciated. Front desk staff were a bit formal, but they helped us with everything we needed.

Nice hotel but not sure how they're any more eco friendly than others!

For context: I booked a stay at Hotel Botanique because I heard it was the most eco friendly hotel in Prague. The hotel itself is absolutely lovely and in a great location, however I can't help but feel that there is some greenwashing going on. There are lots of plants in the lobby and the website shows some good certifications, general initiatives etc. But it was quite hard to see what they were actually doing at the hotel of any impact beyond just wooden key cards instead of plastic, and no miniature toiletries. There's nothing concrete, no real stats about where money goes, how it supports the community etc., and nothing groundbreaking that is visible apart. I review hotels for sustainability for a living and invited Hotel Botanique to chat to me several times about their environmental initiatives and unfortunately they didn't respond to me. I was visiting at the busiest time of year and I'm not saying that they aren't actively taking sustainable measures, but it's very hard to understand what they are when this is not visible to the public, so I would love to see more transparency around this from Hotel Botanique: more statistics on the website, more clarity on where the money goes, the hotel's design and eco measures (not just ambiguity).

Perfect 2 Week stay

My friend and I stayed here for 2 weeks over the Xmas and new year holidays. We enjoyed it very much, the hotel was well located with multiple transport options next to it. Staff were friendly, room was nice, breakfast delicious and the hotel is walking distance to the old town. I want to especially thank Adele, Daniel, Valerina, Nina, Denisa, Thomas, the chef in charge of the breakfast and the whole waiter team including Marx. They made our stay a comfortable and memorable one.

Wonderful hotel

The Botanique is located down the street from the Powder Tower and the Old Town and a great walk to the Old Town. The hotel is beautiful and the breakfast was wonderful! I great stay and great location.

Lovely trip and stay in Prague

Lovely stay at the Botanique Hotel, Prague. We had 2 superior king rooms which were spacious, warm and comfortable with everything you need. Beds comfortable, lovely en-suite with huge walk-in shower and full-size bottles of shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, handwash and hand and body lotion which all smelt gorgeous. Room cleaned daily and towels changed daily if requested. All staff were very helpful and friendly and the buffet breakfast was excellent with everything you could want, full English, continental, boiled eggs, a machine to make your own pancakes, cereals, toast, fruit, juices, tea and coffee, lots of different pastries and my favourite was the delicious warm crusty bread on offer every morning. The hotel also has a lovely bar and reception area, with lots of plants and comfortable seating. We also liked the hotel’s sustainability message, with recycling containers everywhere, room cards and signs all made from wood and even recycled toilet paper. The hotel is in a good location, with buses and trams stopping right outside the hotel, so you can easily get into the centre of Prague within 10 mins. We loved the hotel and Prague and will definitely be returning at some point.
