Yellow Fox Hostel

Just ok

This place is very basic and honestly a little creepy when checking in. We hoped to leave our bags while we were exploring, but didn't feel like it was safe to do so. No one was around the morning we left to ask anyway. The kitchen was locked as well so we couldn't access that shared space. I would look for other options next time.

Not adviseable

Room door lock was broken, instead of another room offer or repair the host was watching football match. Refund for accomodation was refused when we decided to leave. In general the place is worn down, beddings are old with spils and service is well below average.

New year

My Boyfriend and I spent New year eve in Santiago. This hostel was a good choice. The breakfast is included and it's good enough. The location is not close to the city. However, you have buses and the metro really close. If I back to Santiago I definitely stay there again. The only thing that I didn't like is the room's toilet which was small and without a window. But the rest was fine.

Good hostel and lovely staff.

The hostel is not in the middle of the center; a fact I don't care about. It is situated in a calm area and just a 10 minute walk away from the metro station Cerro Blanco. We stayed 3 nights and made a good experience: the hostel is clean and the shower worked well. Breakfast was better than in other hostels. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Good standard

We stayed one night on our way through Santiago. The hostel is clean and tidy and the people very friendly. It has all the ingredients to be a good hostel but didn't quite hit the spot - possibly because it was very quiet. For a good clean place you can rely on at a sensible price it's definitely worth it.
